Great discoveries happen once in a while, our favorite thing to do while exploring is to search on Google Maps for abandoned places, and this time we got lucky and found another gem in the countryside of France. Not much is known about the abandonment of this grand estate and the disappearance of the Family Grie that lived inside it. Around 5 years ago they left their immaculate family home behind with everything still in there. Nature is slowly taking over the surrounding area around the mansion, and it has a very dystopian and mysterious feeling when you walk around its grounds. I am eager to discover the history behind this place and I am going to take you today with me on this fascinating adventure, are you ready?

Life is a strange correlation of events, the one time you are born and before you know it you grew old and it has all passed right before your eyes. During this period we make create a lot of memories that we share with our loved ones, most of these memories are made in a place we call home. This was no different for the Belgian family Steenackers, a family of four who loved, lived, and laughed in their wonderful historical home. But life is not endless and in the year 2004 mister Jan Steenackers passed away as the last inhabitant of the household, this turned the once-loved family home into a desolate time-capsule. The children that once lived here seem to have no interest in collecting the memories that were made here, they left everything behind from the moment Jan passed away.

Today we will relive their story and give you an exclusive look into their former place of happiness

Grant Amato Murdered His Family After Spending Life Savings On A Cam Girl

Grant spent the 24th of January with his mother. Margaret last used her computer at 4:44 pm.
The prosecution deduced that Grant shot Margaret around 4:45 pm as she sat at her desk with this information.
The Health app on Chad Amato's iPhone recorded him taking 67 steps (presumably from his car into the house) at 5:25 pm. For 27 minutes, there was no activity on his phone.
Grant killed his father as soon as he entered the house, according to the prosecution.
There was a trail of blood on the floor, which indicated Chad tried to drag himself, probably towards the phone, after he was shot. He was shot a second time in the head, killing him.
Chad's iPhone was unlocked, and its settings were changed so that the phone would stay unlocked. It remained unlocked until after midnight.
Grant awaited Cody's return from work. At about 9:15 pm, he left work on the 24th of January. Within seconds of entering the house, Cody's brother shot him in the face.
“For over four hours, with the bodies of his dead mother and father in the house, Grant waits for Cody to come home . . . By any definition of the word ‘cold, ’ these murders were cold. ”
Jennifer Sawyer, a neighbor of the Amatos, reported hearing gunshots between 8:30 and 9:30 pm. It was less than five shots, she said, but she didn't know exactly.
Grant Amato inserted a thumb drive containing more than 600 photos and videos of Silvie into his computer at 11:32 pm. Investigators later found this thumb drive in the pocket of Grant's jeans in his car.
Cody's iPhone was connected to Grant's computer at 11:39 pm, but the "trusting process" had not been completed, suggesting that whoever had connected the phone did not know the passcode. The phone was put in "recovery mode" three minutes later.
Chad used his biometric fingerprint to access his USAA banking app at 12:08 am.
Investigators noted that Chad's right index finger was less bloody than his other fingers, suggesting it had been wiped clean. Apparently, Grant used his dead father’s fingerprint to access his banking app.
At 2:54 in the morning. Grant connected to WiFi. He paid $599.99 to reopen his Cam Girls account at 3:06 am. As you may recall from Grant's first interview, he told investigators he drove to a local Publix grocery store to use its WiFi following his eviction.
The prosecution told the jury that Grant then staged a murder-suicide scene. In this case, he wanted Cody to appear to have shot his parents and then himself, which would explain the handgun laying near Cody's body.

Our Miss Brooks is an American situation comedy starring Eve Arden as a sardonic high school English teacher. It began as a radio show broadcast from 1948 to 1957. When the show was adapted to television (1952--56), it became one of the medium's earliest hits. In 1956, the sitcom was adapted for big screen in the film of the same name.

Connie (Constance) Brooks (Eve Arden), an English teacher at fictional Madison High School.
Osgood Conklin (Gale Gordon), blustery, gruff, crooked and unsympathetic Madison High principal, a near-constant pain to his faculty and students. (Conklin was played by Joseph Forte in the show's first episode; Gordon succeeded him for the rest of the series' run.) Occasionally Conklin would rig competitions at the school--such as that for prom queen--so that his daughter Harriet would win.
Walter Denton (Richard Crenna, billed at the time as Dick Crenna), a Madison High student, well-intentioned and clumsy, with a nasally high, cracking voice, often driving Miss Brooks (his self-professed favorite teacher) to school in a broken-down jalopy. Miss Brooks' references to her own usually-in-the-shop car became one of the show's running gags.
Philip Boynton (Jeff Chandler on radio, billed sometimes under his birth name Ira Grossel); Robert Rockwell on both radio and television), Madison High biology teacher, the shy and often clueless object of Miss Brooks' affections.
Margaret Davis (Jane Morgan), Miss Brooks' absentminded landlady, whose two trademarks are a cat named Minerva, and a penchant for whipping up exotic and often inedible breakfasts.
Harriet Conklin (Gloria McMillan), Madison High student and daughter of principal Conklin. A sometime love interest for Walter Denton, Harriet was honest and guileless with none of her father's malevolence and dishonesty.
Stretch (Fabian) Snodgrass (Leonard Smith), dull-witted Madison High athletic star and Walter's best friend.
Daisy Enright (Mary Jane Croft), Madison High English teacher, and a scheming professional and romantic rival to Miss Brooks.

Our Miss Brooks was a hit on radio from the outset; within eight months of its launch as a regular series, the show landed several honors, including four for Eve Arden, who won polls in four individual publications of the time. Arden had actually been the third choice to play the title role. Harry Ackerman, West Coast director of programming, wanted Shirley Booth for the part, but as he told historian Gerald Nachman many years later, he realized Booth was too focused on the underpaid downside of public school teaching at the time to have fun with the role.

Lucille Ball was believed to have been the next choice, but she was already committed to My Favorite Husband and didn't audition. Chairman Bill Paley, who was friendly with Arden, persuaded her to audition for the part. With a slightly rewritten audition script--Osgood Conklin, for example, was originally written as a school board president but was now written as the incoming new Madison principal--Arden agreed to give the newly-revamped show a try.

Produced by Larry Berns and written by director Al Lewis, Our Miss Brooks premiered on July 19, 1948. According to radio critic John Crosby, her lines were very "feline" in dialogue scenes with principal Conklin and would-be boyfriend Boynton, with sharp, witty comebacks. The interplay between the cast--blustery Conklin, nebbishy Denton, accommodating Harriet, absentminded Mrs. Davis, clueless Boynton, scheming Miss Enright--also received positive reviews.

Arden won a radio listeners' poll by Radio Mirror magazine as the top ranking comedienne of 1948-49, receiving her award at the end of an Our Miss Brooks broadcast that March. "I'm certainly going to try in the coming months to merit the honor you've bestowed upon me, because I understand that if I win this two years in a row, I get to keep Mr. Boynton," she joked. But she was also a hit with the critics; a winter 1949 poll of newspaper and magazine radio editors taken by Motion Picture Daily named her the year's best radio comedienne.

For its entire radio life, the show was sponsored by Colgate-Palmolive-Peet, promoting Palmolive soap, Lustre Creme shampoo and Toni hair care products. The radio series continued until 1957, a year after its television life ended.

The Tale of Genji, a full-length novel dating from around 1008 during the mid-Heian period, has been translated into more than 20 languages and is highly regarded worldwide.
The Tale of Genji"" is the only work of narrative author Murasaki Shikibu, a female poet and writer, who left us her only story.

The Tale of Genji"" depicts a period of about 70 years and consists of 54 chapters (volumes), including the title-only ""Unogakushi"", with about one million characters. (There are some theories about the number of volumes.)

There are about 500 characters and 795 waka poems that match their sentiments, and there is a theory that the entire book may not have been written by Murasaki Shikibu.

There are various theories about this too, but the general idea is that it is composed in three parts.

Part 1: From ""Kiri-tsubo"" to ""Fuouraha"". It depicts the birth and glory of Hikaru Genji, the main character.
Part 2: From ""Wakana"" to ""Phantom"". It depicts the torment and aging of Hikarugenji.
Kumogakure"": Title only, no text. It suggests Genji's death.
Part 3: ""Smelling Hyobu-sensei"" to ""Yume Ukihashi"". It describes the posthumous life of Hikarugenji.

バレンティンはブラウン神父を招いて夕食会を開いている。

他のゲストは、「典型的なフランスの科学者」であるシモン博士と、イギリス大使のギャロウェイ卿で、妻と娘（後者はマーガレット・グラハム夫人）を伴っている。

また、フランス外人部隊に所属するアイルランド人のオブライエン司令官や、宗教団体への多額の寄付を目的としたアメリカ人の大富豪ジュリアス・K・ブレインも参加している。

オブライエンはレディー・マーガレットに思いを寄せたいが、ギャロウェイ卿は彼を信用せず、2人を引き離したいと考えていることがすぐにわかった。

夕食の後、ギャロウェイ卿はオブライエンがマーガレット夫人と一緒にいないことを確認するために、マーガレット夫人を探して家の中を歩き回る。

オブライエンが庭から家に入るのを見て、自分も庭に入ってみると、壁際の長い草むらの中に死体があるのに気づく。

死体を動かすと、頭がきれいに切り取られていた。

家の中で使われたと思われる唯一の武器は、オブライエン司令官の騎兵隊のサーベルである。

オブライエンは到着したときに身につけていたが、夕食の前に脱いで書斎のテーブルに置いたまま行方不明になっている。

そして、オブライエンはマーガレット夫人と庭にいて、結婚を申し込んだが断られたことが判明する。

そのため、彼女はオブライエンの無実を証明することができる。

しかし、帽子とコートを持って家を出たと思われるジュリアス・ブレインの姿は見当たらない。

そこへヴァレンティンの下男イワンが、家の外の道の茂みで見つけた血のついた騎兵隊のサーベルを持って現れる。

これでジュリアス・ブレインに疑いの目が向けられたが、被害者が誰なのかはまだわかっていない。

バレンティンは全員に一晩家にいるように頼んだため、これ以上の進展は翌朝になってからである。

サイモン博士はオブライエンに事件の5つの「巨大な難問」を説明する。

すなわち、被害者がどうやって入ったのか、犯人がどうやって出てきたのか、ポケットナイフで十分なのになぜサーベルが使われたのか、犯人が近づいてきても被害者が泣き叫ばなかったのはなぜか、頭部が切り落とされた後につけられたに違いない切り傷が体にあるのはなぜか、ということだ。

そこへブラウン神父がやってきて、サイモンとオブライエンに、2つ目の切断された頭部がセーヌ川のそばの葦の中で発見されたことを伝える。

ブラウン神父はそれがジュリアス・ブレインのものであることを確認する。

ブレインが騎兵隊のサーベルを使って最初の殺人を犯したのであれば、2番目の殺人を犯すことはできないはずだ。

続いてイワンは、最初の被害者がドイツ人犯罪者のアーノルド・ベッカーで、その双子の兄ルイが前日パリでギロチンにかけられていたことを明かす。

イワンは最初に死体を見た時、ルイ・ベッカーに似ていることにショックを受けたが、その後、双子の兄弟の存在を思い出したのだった。

これは色んな意味で何とも不思議な話だ。

まず第一に、いくつかの矛盾がある。

サーベルは庭の壁から投げ捨てられていたが、イワンは「パリへの道を50ヤード進んだところ」で見つけたと報告している。

ジュリアス・ブレインの帽子とコートは、置いてきた場所にはないが、どこにあるのか？この点については全く触れられていない。

また、ヴァレンティンはオブライエン司令官が騎兵隊のサーベルを身につけて到着することだけでなく、そのサーベルを書斎のテーブルに都合よく置いていくことをどうやって知っていたのかという疑問もる。

ヴァレンティンの計画を成功させるためには、ギロチンの刃と同じ効果を持つ武器を確実に手に入れる必要があったのではないか。

また、ほぼ確実に発見されるであろう首と剣を壁に投げつけることに何の意味があったのかとも考えられる。

もし、ジュリアス・ブレインを殺して、あたかもブレインが死刑囚の双子の兄弟を殺したように見せかけることが目的だったとしたら、それは奇妙なやり方だと思う。

アーノルド・ベッカーがどのようにして庭に入ったのかを説明することは、常に根本的な難しさがあった。

最後に、なぜヴァレンティンは自殺したのか？ブラウン神父が解答を出したとき、彼はその場にいなかったから、ゲームが終わったことを知っていたからではないだろう。

もともと自殺するつもりだったが、興味深い謎を残しておきたかったのだろうか。

物語の中ではその説明はなされていない。

せっかくの巧妙なプロットなのに、よく考えずに作ってしまったために、このような結果になってしまった。

探偵小説では、ある程度の仕掛けは許されるが、すべてのピースが意味を持ち、組み合わさっていなければならない。

しかし、「秘密の庭」ではそれができていない。

読んでいるうちに、この物語が難しいことに気づくかもしれない。チェスタトンの散文は難しいし、読者側も区別がつかない。

G・K・チェスタトン（1874年5月29日～1936年6月14日）は、ブラウン神父の物語を書き始める前に、すでに探偵小説を1冊出版していた。

『The Man Who Was Thursday』で、チェスタトンはガブリエル・サイムという探偵を登場させ、7人のメンバーがそれぞれ異なる曜日の名前を持つ無政府主義者のグループに潜入させた。

サイムは、木曜日だった男と入れ替わる。

最初、サイムはこのグループが何を達成しようとしているのか理解できず、奇妙に感じていた。

このパラドックスは、7人の "アナーキスト "が実は社会に存在しない脅威を調査するために別々に配属された刑事であるとチェスタトンが説明することで解消される。

『木曜日の男』は、問題を解決するために明確に考えるというチェスタトンの能力を示すものではあるが、このパラドックスの解決策はあまりにも非現実的であり、多くの読者は、チェスタトンがなぜこのような奇妙な結末の本を書いたのかと疑問に思っている。

秘密組織の7人のメンバーが全員警察官であるというのは、ほとんど信じられないことである。

チェスタトンの実兄であるセシルは、この作品が過度に楽観的な世界観を表現していると考えたが、他の批評家は『木曜日の男』をその悲観論で批判した。

なぜならば、読者や他の登場人物を悩ませていた場面や出来事の真の意味を、頭脳明晰なブラウン神父が常に説明してくれるからである。

登場人物は、刑事、犯人、容疑者、被害者の知人など、いずれもブラウン神父が事件を正しく解決したという結論に達している。

ブラウン神父の秘密
チェスタトンは1927年に発表した短編小説「ブラウン神父の秘密」の中で、自分の探偵の2つの大前提を述べている。

ブラウン神父は、怪しげな推理をしたり、不誠実な宗教的信念を表明する容疑者を非常に疑っている。

ブラウン神父は、間違った推理をする人物は犯罪者である可能性が高いと直感的に感じている。

第二に、ブラウン神父は「殺人者」の心の中に完全に入り込み、「彼の思考を考え、彼の情熱と格闘する」ように努めている。

ブラウン神父は、犯罪者が誰なのか、どのようにして犯罪が行われたのかを判断する前に、何が罪人を特定の犯罪に駆り立てるのかを理解する必要がある。

ブラウン神父の最良の物語は、チェスタトンが1911年に出版した『ブラウン神父の無実』に掲載されたものだと、ほとんどの評論家は考えている。

後期のブラウン神父の物語を軽視してはならないが、ごく初期の物語は独創的で、何世代にもわたって読者に愛され続けている。

バレンティンはフランボーの身長が180cm以上あることは知っていたが、フランボーがどのような服装をしているかは知らなかった。

ロンドンの街を歩いていたヴァレンティンは、ふと2人のカトリックの神父に惹かれる。

一人は背が低く、もう一人は背が高い。

背の低い方の神父は、人目を引くように奇妙な行動をとる。

レストランの壁にわざとスープを投げつけたり、八百屋の外に置いてあるリンゴを崩したり、別のレストランの窓を割ったりするのだ。

この奇妙な行動が商人たちを悩ませ、商人たちは警察官にハムステッド・ヒースに向かって歩いている神父たちを追跡するよう依頼する。

読者は、背の低い神父が自分の身を守るために尾行を望んでいることをすぐに理解する。

背の高い神父（実はフランボー）が、背の低い神父ブラウンに、ハムステッドの教会に運んでいたサファイアの十字架を差し出すように命じた矢先、ブラウン神父は、フランボーを逮捕するために「強い警官2人」とヴァレンティンが木の陰で待っていると告げる。

驚いたフランボーはブラウン神父に、なぜ自分が本物の神父ではないとわかったのかと尋ねる。

読者は、物語の序盤で、この背の高い神父が、「理性に訴えるのは現代の異教徒だけで、真のカトリック教徒は理性を使わない」と断言したことから、ブラウン神父を疑うようになったことを知る。

ブラウン神父はフランボーに言う。

"君は理性を攻撃した。

「それは悪い神学だ」と言った。

ブラウン神父は、背の高い神父が神父であるはずがないと直感し、その通りになったのである。
