To close a memorable trip in Spain, we will show you one of our best finds today in Portuguese lands. This impressive palace belonged to upper-class society. Extensive vineyards and livestock lands made up the production of life that previously existed in this generous building. The past family generations exported wine to the entire region and manufactured a lot of money at that time. In such old buildings, several generations have passed. Contrasting with various military uniforms in one of the rooms and various pictures of family portraits, we verify that the house lived with people related to the military nobility of the time, in addition to a famous doctor. Once a vivid place in the 18th and 19th century is now left abandoned for 50 years and is in decline for even longer. As years have passed, its interior has been stagnant in time, being able to appreciate all the elegance that is still perplexed in time.
Today we will show you its delicate rooms with high ceilings, decorated moldings, incredibly carved wooden furniture, and even a private chapel. However, as soon as we want to go inside, we come to an unexpected discovery. The property is guarded. We get chased, not by people, but by a herd of wild boars.

On the grassy plains of an embattled French meadow that endured much political strife, sits a majestic castle with a harrowing history of its own.
Originally intended to be an important fortified castle, the construction of this dignified landmark was finished in the early 16th century.

Exactly one year ago, after the castle had been fading into oblivion for decades a priori, we visited this phenomenal place and could not believe our eyes. As centuries passed, the property was inhabited by the military nobility and several lieutenants who played a predominant role during the French Revolution. The personal legacy of generation upon generation is now left behind only to be devoured by nature as vegetation creeps through windows and doors/
Today we take you on an intriguing adventure back in time, as we visit this castle and take you on a journey through priceless historical mementos and invaluable antique furniture. One can rightly ask how such places even exist, and how one could ever leave such abundant history behind for the fate of the elements.

Today we are opening and sharing a discarded hidden treasure that has remained closed for years with each and every one of you.

Fortunately, the future of the building looks bright. The castle was recently bought and is currently being replenished back to its former glory. But before that happens, we're taking you on one last look behind its spellbound walls.

I stayed in a Japanese Zen Temple located in Switzerland.

I explored the Temple and meditated in the unique and very remote Japanese temple. I got a very tasty vegan breakfast and a simple but nutritious lunch. I took the oldest mountain train in Europe called Rigi. This is one of the few ways to reach the off grid temple which was built on the mountain Rigi. In and around the remote temple you can feel a very peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
I tried to capture the peaceful ambience in this video. I hope you love the sounds as much as I do. I also uploaded a 3 hour version of this stay on my channel In case you want to listen to the lonely, quiet, peaceful atmosphere without interruption. I recommend it to fall asleep faster, for help with anxiety or just to calm down. Crickets Chirping during the day, Insomnia, Study, Relax. The temple is part of a Zen retreat center called Felsentor Foundation and is normally used for Zen, meditation, and yoga courses. It was built in the style of a Japanese Zen temple. I was allowed to spend one night in this very remote place. At that time there was no course taking place and I was the only guest. During a course the temple has room for up to 30 people. I was the only guest in the temple and was able to enjoy my stay in this unique off grid temple in complete silence.

Crumbling parts of the ceiling and discarded rubbish litter the floor, while the mold-ridden dining table sits stranded in the eerily silent living room.
Sometimes the house seems to return to its former life for a while when the curtains begin to move in a strong breeze of wind. One day, a well-to-do local family lived a quiet, respectable, and well-ordered life within these walls.
Now, time has forgotten about the property, and together with its contents, it is incrementally left to the elements.

With nature reclaiming the crumbling exterior, roots engulfing the house, and plants and greenery that have begun to grow over the floors, time is fast running out for this enigmatic home nestled on the rural outskirts of a French town.

Life is not permanent, so always live in the now.
Today I'm emphasizing this statement with a visual example. I visit one of the most magnificent abandoned mansions I have ever seen in Belgium, dating back to the Victorian era.
This was once the family home of Mrs. Cornelia and her husband, that had a lucrative family business in beekeeping and thereby generated a lot of wealth in their time.
The years may have left their mark on the house but the main entrance hall with its cherished ornate ceilings and unique walls feels frozen in time. Dining chairs are poised around an elegant dining table as though waiting for the home's residents to ever return.
And mementos from those who once lived within these walls still linger on surfaces and on cupboards.

After being married to her husband for many years, she gave birth to a child at a later age, called Monica.
At a certain point in her life, she lost her husband but luckily still had her lovely daughter Monica taking care of her. As she grew older, she started coping increasingly with her health. Few years thereafter, she was taken to a nursing home where she drew her last breath at the age of 87 years old.

Get carried away on another tour through a graceful desolate place, as I will bring all faded grandeur and precious memories of Mrs. Cornelia and her family back to life.

Great discoveries happen once in a while, our favorite thing to do while exploring is to search on Google Maps for abandoned places, and this time we got lucky and found another gem in the countryside of France. Not much is known about the abandonment of this grand estate and the disappearance of the Family Grie that lived inside it. Around 5 years ago they left their immaculate family home behind with everything still in there. Nature is slowly taking over the surrounding area around the mansion, and it has a very dystopian and mysterious feeling when you walk around its grounds. I am eager to discover the history behind this place and I am going to take you today with me on this fascinating adventure, are you ready?

Mister Martin lived in this grand Luxembourgish farm together with his six children and his wife Mariel. They were known as the happy farming family because they were always seen together and participated in and organized lots of activities around the charming historic village. Unfortunately, his wife passed away early on in their relationship, this left him to care alone for his 6 children at first he managed. But over time the burden got too high for him and he grabbed towards alcohol to cope with his problems, this lead to a spiral of abuse and addiction where he never recovered from… His children left him one by one until he eventually had nobody left to take care of him. In the fall of 2011, Mister Martin was rushed to the hospital for an alcohol overdose from which he never recovered. The children don’t seem to care about the house he had left behind, the resale value is slim to none in this remote part of Luxembourg, so ever since his passing it has been slowly withering away until Mother Nature claims it for herself once again.

Most of us can only dream of living in a mansion some day. So when we hear that one has been abandoned completely and left to rot, it is usually shrouded in mystery.
What happened to cause this beautiful mansion to turn from a lavish home to a derelict place?

That’s what we’re going to investigate today.
Little is known about the home's history between then and now, but, several different owners tried to revive the home to its former glory before falling on hard times themselves. Which begs the question: Is it cursed? Probably not, but you never know!
Villagers still believe the mansion to be cursed, and despite the mansion is hauntingly beautiful, no interested buyers have been found over the past years.

Today I will breathe life in a dormant castle. The family tree of the residence of this property starts in the early 1700s with a high official of the First French Empire, ruled by Napoleon Bonaparte. From the four walls of this glorious building, advice was given to the Parisian parliament during times of revolution. Once a dignified place in its heyday, has now been left to the elements for 6 years afore. It's a shame seeing abundant beauty just withering away and all master-crafted works just turning to dust. Today we will immerse ourselves in the life of an important French family that was once prominent in politics and resided inside of this sublime landmark. Enjoy a tour, as I venture my way inside one of our best deserted finds to date and show you all its museum pieces that are still on display, solely left for eternity to take over.

This charming abandoned house in France has lain empty for quite a while. And has since been gorgeously sitting in silence.
With its nickname "Maison de la Montagne", meaning "mountain house", it promptly becomes clear to us where the building owes its name from.
The former residents were obviously artsy and poured their passion and soul into this tiny house, painting their walls as they drifted off to a wonderful mountainous landscape.

Somewhere in the middle of a picturesque French, we found a charming estate that got completely forgotten about. It once was in the ownership of Mister Remon and his beloved wife Anna, A German couple that moved to France in the late 80s. Mister Remon got the opportunity of a lifetime and became a surgeon. Together with his wife he lived in this grand manor for around 30 years, but sadly he passed away of a terminal illness. His wife kept on living in this here alone for around 10 more years until she also passed away in the year 2016. Ever since that time their estate has been abandoned and now is slowly rotting way. Today I'm showcasing the enthralling abandoned house of the Belgian couple Marcel & Marie. People of strict Roman Catholic faith once spent the greatest time of their lives within the four walls of this lavish home. However, their undisturbed happiness ended when Mr. Marcel passed away. Mrs. Marie was left as a widow and her mental health deteriorated because of indescribable grief. Although her loneliness was soon filled by several cats, she was anything but before and started to cope with a hoarding disorder. She exorbitantly started saving items, from cans of cat food to religious maria statues. Items that others may regard worthless, were ultimately precious in her eyes. Her persistent difficulties parting with possessions led to clutter that disrupted her ability to use her living spaces.
Following, her physical health also descented and she started neglecting herself. After years of living in appalling conditions, the woman died in 2011, and as of today, everything in the house is still left as it once was.

Life is a strange correlation of events, the one time you are born and before you know it you grew old and it has all passed right before your eyes. During this period we make create a lot of memories that we share with our loved ones, most of these memories are made in a place we call home. This was no different for the Belgian family Steenackers, a family of four who loved, lived, and laughed in their wonderful historical home. But life is not endless and in the year 2004 mister Jan Steenackers passed away as the last inhabitant of the household, this turned the once-loved family home into a desolate time-capsule. The children that once lived here seem to have no interest in collecting the memories that were made here, they left everything behind from the moment Jan passed away.

Today we will relive their story and give you an exclusive look into their former place of happiness

The art the silence...
Thousands of books are gathering dust in the attic of this abandoned house.
A massive stone bust of Joseph Stalin is still on display in the upstairs wooden stairwell.
And even, the pictures of their children and coloring pictures they once made still roam around the home. And the dishes are still on the counter and in the sink, waiting forever to be washed and cleaned up. This house is a true time capsule.

Let me take you into the story of an architect of Russian origin, who immigrated to rural France in his middle age, together with his wife and two children, and designed this house all by himself for his dearest family.
Some day, the family disappeared without a trace, and the door has remained unopened for years since, leaving their former dwelling stagnant in the time ever since, giving Mother Nature the chance to gradually reclaim what was once hers.

Today I'll give you a new glance in yesteryear, as we're delving ourselves into the aftermath of a Russian family's life that was previously existent in this home.

Luxembourg, a small noble country that is landlocked in the middle of the European continent. Its history is like a dinosaur preserved in ice, while exploring its lands we found an abandoned farm dating back to the year 1810 of the Unconventional family Kirch. They had lived in this place for about 130 years until the Second World War struck, for some reason they were forced out of their home but when the war was over they never returned… Many speculations and roomers are spread around the tiny village, but nobody seems to know the exact story of their demise. Now 75 years went by and their house still remains empty ever since the day they left. This is a time capsule that gives us a glimpse into the past lives of the Kirch family, we will go inside together and we will try to figure out who these people were and maybe even what happened to them…
