Comfortable One bedroom Cottage In Marshall Virginia

You'll want to take a closer look at this charming one-bedroom small cottage plan located in Marshall, Virginia, United States. The farm stay vacation home can accommodate up to 2 guests with 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. During your vacation stay, you'll have the entire home to yourself. This tiny home is uniquely tasteful yet whimsical and is a completely renovated chicken coop. This is the perfect place to press the reset button and get some fresh air in a lovely location.

You will have access to 130 acres of fields, woods, a good size pond if you enjoy fishing, with trails to the Rappahanock River following in the footsteps of many two and four-legged before you. There are one hundred and thirty acres of fields and woods on a land easement farm, with paths to the river, and a large pond for fishing. There are chickens (and yes you can have fresh eggs) donkeys, and the owner has dogs with Davis being the self-appointed Ambassador.

Inside this cozy farm stay vacation home, you'll find plenty of inspiration for a tiny house of your own. The comfortable tiny house has a good-sized covered porch, the perfect place to sit back relax, and enjoy your morning cup of coffee or tea, and throughout the day you can look out and enjoy the lovely setting. Once inside the tiny house is nicely decorated with dark grey walls, light grey floors, and white trim throughout. There is a bit of color with the patchwork curtains, quilt, and rugs to give a comfy look and feel, perfect for the farm stay. There is a small desk with a lamp which you can use if there is any work you need to do. Throughout the cozy farm stay tiny house there are farmhouse details, such as a wooden desk, chicken wire ceiling lights, rooster pitcher, and barn door to the bathroom to name a few.

Marshall was originally known as Salem and is home to the Fauquier Heritage and Preservation Foundation. Marshall has a small-town vibe but a first-class food scene. The town has a population of just under 1,500, but thanks to its band of enthusiastic restaurateurs it has a gourmet pedigree that attracts foodies from Virginia and beyond. Marshall was known as Salem until 1881 when the town’s name was then changed to honor a native son, Supreme Court Justice John Marshall, who was born in Fauquier County in 1755.

The town is located in the Virginia Piedmont, with rolling farmlands that unspool into the forested terrain of the Blue Ridge Mountains. In addition to the great restaurants and wineries to enjoy, residents of this small town share a passion for spending time outdoors and honoring the region’s agricultural and equestrian heritage. Locals support efforts to preserve historic buildings, transforming them in innovative and sustainable ways. Today we take you deep into the French countryside to feature an abandoned farmhouse that has remained entirely crystallized in time. Once a brother and a sister spent their lives within this home. They were clearly involved in agriculture and earned their life cost with it. Around 2014, both the brother and the daughter departed this earth, and ever since that moment nothing has happened with the house, as no inheritance existed anymore to acquire the property. As no interested buyers could be found during the last couple of years, the building is slowly waiting for nature to become its new successor.

Mister Martin lived in this grand Luxembourgish farm together with his six children and his wife Mariel. They were known as the happy farming family because they were always seen together and participated in and organized lots of activities around the charming historic village. Unfortunately, his wife passed away early on in their relationship, this left him to care alone for his 6 children at first he managed. But over time the burden got too high for him and he grabbed towards alcohol to cope with his problems, this lead to a spiral of abuse and addiction where he never recovered from… His children left him one by one until he eventually had nobody left to take care of him. In the fall of 2011, Mister Martin was rushed to the hospital for an alcohol overdose from which he never recovered. The children don’t seem to care about the house he had left behind, the resale value is slim to none in this remote part of Luxembourg, so ever since his passing it has been slowly withering away until Mother Nature claims it for herself once again.

Great discoveries happen once in a while, our favorite thing to do while exploring is to search on Google Maps for abandoned places, and this time we got lucky and found another gem in the countryside of France. Not much is known about the abandonment of this grand estate and the disappearance of the Family Grie that lived inside it. Around 5 years ago they left their immaculate family home behind with everything still in there. Nature is slowly taking over the surrounding area around the mansion, and it has a very dystopian and mysterious feeling when you walk around its grounds. I am eager to discover the history behind this place and I am going to take you today with me on this fascinating adventure, are you ready?

Life is not permanent, so always live in the now.
Today I'm emphasizing this statement with a visual example. I visit one of the most magnificent abandoned mansions I have ever seen in Belgium, dating back to the Victorian era.
This was once the family home of Mrs. Cornelia and her husband, that had a lucrative family business in beekeeping and thereby generated a lot of wealth in their time.
The years may have left their mark on the house but the main entrance hall with its cherished ornate ceilings and unique walls feels frozen in time. Dining chairs are poised around an elegant dining table as though waiting for the home's residents to ever return.
And mementos from those who once lived within these walls still linger on surfaces and on cupboards.

After being married to her husband for many years, she gave birth to a child at a later age, called Monica.
At a certain point in her life, she lost her husband but luckily still had her lovely daughter Monica taking care of her. As she grew older, she started coping increasingly with her health. Few years thereafter, she was taken to a nursing home where she drew her last breath at the age of 87 years old.

Get carried away on another tour through a graceful desolate place, as I will bring all faded grandeur and precious memories of Mrs. Cornelia and her family back to life.

Secluded from any other houses in its vicinity, lies this property that has been sitting eerily vacant for a rough 12 years now. This quaint little house once used to be the home of the married couple Ernest & Gabrielle. They lived a long and happy life together, had several children together, and reached the magical anniversary of 60 years of marriage until their health deteriorated and both of them eventually left this world. During their career, they won many awards at the national level related to pig farming.
Unfortunately, the kids don't exactly look back at their parents' house, and the condition of the property has deteriorated over the past few years due to roof leaks. The house has now become one of the so-called "slum houses" in Belgium and will one day be razed to the ground, after all the stuff from the inside has been removed and secured.
Before that happens, let's explore this simple yet charming home.

Mr. Lucien and Mrs. Wendy once spent their lives within these walls, and after they departed this earth their cheerful home has turned into a cheerless desolate place. It's a textbook example of one of the many derelict rustic farmhouses that you can find in rural parts of Belgium.

Somewhere in the middle of a picturesque French, we found a charming estate that got completely forgotten about. It once was in the ownership of Mister Remon and his beloved wife Anna, A German couple that moved to France in the late 80s. Mister Remon got the opportunity of a lifetime and became a surgeon. Together with his wife he lived in this grand manor for around 30 years, but sadly he passed away of a terminal illness. His wife kept on living in this here alone for around 10 more years until she also passed away in the year 2016. Ever since that time their estate has been abandoned and now is slowly rotting way. To close a memorable trip in Spain, we will show you one of our best finds today in Portuguese lands. This impressive palace belonged to upper-class society. Extensive vineyards and livestock lands made up the production of life that previously existed in this generous building. The past family generations exported wine to the entire region and manufactured a lot of money at that time. In such old buildings, several generations have passed. Contrasting with various military uniforms in one of the rooms and various pictures of family portraits, we verify that the house lived with people related to the military nobility of the time, in addition to a famous doctor. Once a vivid place in the 18th and 19th century is now left abandoned for 50 years and is in decline for even longer. As years have passed, its interior has been stagnant in time, being able to appreciate all the elegance that is still perplexed in time.
Today we will show you its delicate rooms with high ceilings, decorated moldings, incredibly carved wooden furniture, and even a private chapel. However, as soon as we want to go inside, we come to an unexpected discovery. The property is guarded. We get chased, not by people, but by a herd of wild boars.

The art the silence...
Thousands of books are gathering dust in the attic of this abandoned house.
A massive stone bust of Joseph Stalin is still on display in the upstairs wooden stairwell.
And even, the pictures of their children and coloring pictures they once made still roam around the home. And the dishes are still on the counter and in the sink, waiting forever to be washed and cleaned up. This house is a true time capsule.

Let me take you into the story of an architect of Russian origin, who immigrated to rural France in his middle age, together with his wife and two children, and designed this house all by himself for his dearest family.
Some day, the family disappeared without a trace, and the door has remained unopened for years since, leaving their former dwelling stagnant in the time ever since, giving Mother Nature the chance to gradually reclaim what was once hers.

Today I'll give you a new glance in yesteryear, as we're delving ourselves into the aftermath of a Russian family's life that was previously existent in this home.
